Interior design with marble in the living room
Interior design with marble in the living room is a significant challenge for any professional. The challenge consists in acknowledging that when working with a natural product it is necessary to correctly assess its technical and aesthetic characteristics.
A good selection of the stone for the living room assures a relevant qualitative added value.
Marble is a highly appreciated timeless material that adds beauty and style to any interior design.
TINO Natural Stone is the specialist in unique interior design projects in villas or luxury suites. Let’s look at a few examples.
Marble in the suites of the Ritz Hotel in Barcelona
We start our tour at the Hotel Ritz in Barcelona. The floor, which at first glance looks like wood, is made of Travertine Classic with a herringbone format more typical of wooden floors, hence its peculiarity — the best way to enjoy the aesthetics of wood taking advantage of the characteristics of natural stone.
This lounge seeks to transmit luxury and comfort through the tonal warmth of the materials. For this reason, it has combined the floor with natural wood furniture and walls in neutral tones.
Marble in the living room of a luxury villa in Marbella
The king of beige marbles par excellence, the Crema Premium, dresses the floors of this salon which bases its composition on straight lines.
Simplicity and clean lines join the light tones and prepare a perfect canvas for the textile elements that provide the touch of color. An excellent example of a chromatic combination that fuses cream, wenge, and violet, putting interior design at the service of well-being.
Ritz-Carlton suite lounge Berlin
This space uses black as an excuse to integrate metallic elements such as gold, silver, and copper that contrast well with each other and provide a certain refinement.
Ebano Black was chosen for the floor of this project, after selecting only the best blocks. The finish is the FORUM texture, characterized by rounded edges that add volume to the piece and soften its shapes. The random wear zones give it a light aged touch.
Villa belonging to the Puente Romano complex in Marbella
As a marble supplier in Marbella, TINO Natural Stone used Bianco Perlino white marble in interiors, bedrooms, and bathrooms. A timeless greyish marble that always prints classicism and elegance. The selected finish is HONED, which provides a satin gloss that is very easy to maintain and very pleasant to the touch.
Grey Osiris in a living room of a luxury villa in Marbella
This project is a house of in&out concept in which the prevailing stone is, again, Grey Osiris.
The fossils this stone contains inside determine the variations in the greyish and mole tones. Grey Osiris extends like an interior skin that covers all the rooms starting with the living room, going through bathrooms, kitchen and even the stairs that lead to the upper floor.
In this project, the suspended staircases stand out, which simulate being solid pieces thanks to the careful mite of their edges, giving forcefulness and importance to the piece.
A decorative wall in blue marble
Blue Sodalite, as its name suggests, is a blue marble composed of lazulite, calcite, and pyrite. The result is a spectacular cobalt base furrowed with sparkling golden and white veins.
In this case, the designer has opted for a wooden floor and has reserved the main wall of the room for the audiovisual area, with the jewel wall of Sodalite Blue as a frame.
The use of stone as if it was a sizeable decorative canvas is a trend in interior design and highlights the uniqueness of some stones.
Floors that combine wood and marble
If you want to keep the traditional wooden floor but add a touch of distinction you can integrate marble elements. In this case, the steps of the staircase have been carried out with Bianco Perlino planks. The final result is a nice contrast.
In this other image, we see the TINO Natural Stone showroom in Marbella, a good inspiration for any marble interior design in the living room.
The combination of the light wood of the floor with the expressive force of the Picasso marble placed in book-match on the wall creates a fascinating space. To be highlighted is the uniqueness of the hexagonal pieces of marble floor interspersed with wood that gives it an artistic and unique touch.
