Travertine Olivillo
Travertine Olivillo
Travertine Olivillo is a carbonated rock of brown tones ranging from beige and ocher to oranges and even grays. Its toasted base is dotted by an infinity of slightly lighter areas, presenting a chromatic dissonance very appreciated by lovers of natural resources.
This stone is geologically formed by the precipitation of calcium carbonate which is found in groundwater zones on a bed of plants or organic remains. As a result, singular holes and cavities are formed. Its main mineral is calcite.
This beautiful natural stone comes from the Iberian Peninsula and is highly appreciated for its versatility. It has many possibilities of finishes depending on how the block is cut and how its holes are treated.
The holes can be maintained with an open pore, perfect for more rustic or natural environments, or with the pore covered, either with a filling in the same color as the stone, or transparent, where the pore is covered but visually still present.
In terms of textures, there are numerous surface finishes that can be applied: honed, polished and aged, the latter conjugates perfectly with the nature of this stone.
Travertine Olivillo is highly demanded by architects and interior designers for its use in exteriors, interiors, bathrooms, kitchens hospitality projects, and luxury villas.
