The combination of marble and wood in luxury hotels is a winning bet when seeking to promote the use of 100% natural materials.

There are marbles of all colors and shades. In our collection, it is possible to find many examples of white marble, beige marble, grey marble, black marble or even the semiprecious exotic marbles.

On the other hand, as we already know, the range of high-quality natural woods is also extensive and very diverse from the chromatic point of view. It is possible to see examples of them in our showrooms in Madrid and Marbella.[vc_single_image image=”10909″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”]The combination of both materials produces environments of great beauty in which luxury, comfort, and well-being are a priority.

Combination of marble and wood: Perlino White and Wengue

[vc_single_image image=”10910″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”]Above these lines, we see an area of the interior of the NH Sotogrande hotel. The floor has two levels and a different coating was used for each level. The wood of the type Wengue was used for the interior combined with a white limestone of great beauty called Bianco Perlino.

It is noteworthy to mention that the designer has taken aesthetic advantage of the steps that join both levels playing with the contrasts.[vc_single_image image=”10911″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”]We continue in the NH Sotogrande to show how a natural stone pavement can be combined with wooden baseboards.

Combination of marble and wood: White Athena and Oak

[vc_single_image image=”5248″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”]The restaurant of the Gran Meliá Palacio de los Duques is an exclusive and cozy restaurant in Madrid.

A large table and worktop complement the oak color of the sheets covering the buffet wall in Athena White marble. Both materials generate a soft contrast that suggests comfort and well-being.[vc_single_image image=”8218″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”]We continue at the Gran Meliá Palacio de lo Duques to see how the combination of marble and wood was carried out at the reception.

The primary material of the counter is again the Athena White marble. However, for the countertop, we have chosen a thick wooden board crowned by a protective glass topper.

Also, the pictorial work on the wall of the back is made of wood and is inspired by Las Meninas by Velázquez.

Combination of marble and wood: Onyx, marble, and wood

[vc_single_image image=”2806″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”]We travel to London to see how wood can be elegantly combined with stone in colors other than white.

The Bulgari Hotel in London is a European symbol of luxury and exclusivity. In the image above we can see how the Spa, mostly covered with wood for the visual warmth it transmits, has also included Green Onyx cladding to bring a magical touch to the environment.[vc_single_image image=”3927″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”]We move on to the heated swimming pool of the Bulgari Hotel to admire a new form of a combination of marble and wood.

It is said that green is the most relaxing color for a human being. It is associated with safety, healing and body care. So the designer of this space did not hesitate to apply the Guatemala Green marble in one of the walls of the pool, covering the rest in wood, adding warmth to the visual calm of the color green.
